Purpose of the Job:
To streamline construction project management practices by monitoring and following up status of designated project sites.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure designs are applied correctly and liaise with contractors’ counterparts.
- Follow up the status of assigned construction projects.
- Monitors day‐to‐day progress and activities on project construction sites.
- Prepare and provide periodical project sites status updates (E.g. Daily, weekly, monthly).
- Solve problems and escalate, if found appropriate.
- Understand and translate the projects scope and expected quality deliverables.
- Provide advice in the planning, co-ordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects to the contractors.
- Conduct all mandatory inspections to construction projects on the on-going basis.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
About You
Job Qualifications
- Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Management, Computer Science and in other related disciplines.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 6 (six) years of demonstrated work experience of working as a Site Engineer in various Real Estate Projects.
- Well experienced in overseeing finishing work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Able to maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluency in Amharic and English, written and verbal is highly required.
