Main responsibilities
- Business Development: Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in the construction sector, expanding the company’s client base, and building partnerships with contractors, developers, and other stakeholders.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Overseeing the creation, review, and negotiation of contracts related to the supply of materials, ensuring that terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives while managing any amendments or renewals.
- Pricing Strategy: Developing and implementing pricing strategies that reflect market conditions, competitive pressures, and cost analysis to maintain profitability and market competitiveness.
- Financial Oversight: Managing budgets, cost analysis, and financial reporting related to commercial activities, ensuring that revenue and profitability targets are achieved.
- Customer Relationship Management: Building and nurturing strong relationships with key clients and partners to foster repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Market Analysis: Staying updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and economic factors that affect the construction materials market, and using this information to inform strategic decisions.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in contracts and operations and developing strategies to mitigate those risks, ensuring smooth business processes and protecting company interests.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensuring that the company complies with industry regulations, safety standards, and legal requirements relevant to construction materials and business operations.
- Team Leadership: Leading and mentoring a team involved in sales, contracts, and business operations, promoting a culture of excellence and efficiency
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking sales performance, client feedback, and overall project execution to report on outcomes and adapt strategies as needed.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Master’s Degree in business (MBA)
Work Experience:
- Above 15 years of experience in a commercial Marketing or business management role, preferably within the construction or building materials sector minimum 5 years in managerial posts
• Proven experience in marketing, sales, and business development in the construction industry.
