The Role
Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for an Accountable Governance Lead to join our Pan-Africa Program Team, to lead in the design and delivery of Oxfam’s Pan African Accountable Governance and Active citizenship theme and to play a substantial role in the Pan Africa team’s engagement with the AU and its organs.

Who we’re looking for
Our next Accountable Governance Lead will provide general advocacy support, will develop, and implement coalition-based advocacy strategies to engage the AU in ways that deliver Oxfam’s Strategic objectives. We are looking for a person with strong knowledge and understanding of the African Union, African civil society and continental advocacy work including on influencing political and private sector targets; with demonstrable experience in developing and implementing high impact advocacy strategies that integrate lobbying, research, media, and other campaigning tools to influence decision-making bodies, with experience in managing a team and office, including recruitment, performance management and budget oversight.
