Assessor (Customs Declarant) Job Description

Key Responsibilities;

•  Find and assign the exact tariff amount for every signal item as per declaration from HS Code
• After giving advice the completed tax amount of the item and gets acceptance by the customer, register the declaration on custom system
•  one approval is received from client, send declaration for transit permit
• Deliver all true set customs declaration and VDD to documentation
•  Support branch officers related to pending issue (final declaration)
• Compliance or adhere with internal regulatory rules, regulations, policies and procedures
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports to assessment manager and Perform other related duties as required
• Check and scrutinize the document and validate the documents customs procedure
• Make Tax Assessment on the customs system
• Notify duty to clients,
• Notify for client if documents are missed
• Register and assess the declaration after receiving CPO from client
• Fill and submit VDD online
• Reply to any Customs inquiry and notify to client
• Provide support to staffs and client whenever required
• Handle any other related tasks assigned by supervisor

Qualification and Experience:

• B.A. Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or any other related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ and above of work experience in Tax Assessment and Tariff Valuation
• Comprehensive understanding of contract law, hsc and standard transport terms
• Experienced with using relevant software programs to track deliveries
• Strong organizational skills especially in high-pressure situation
• Excellent customer service skills including the ability to resolve issues
• Capable to find and Assign the exact tariff from HS code
• Experience in Industry parks and project operation
• Ability to work under pressure
• Has an excessive knowledge on full Logistics tasks
• trained the new customs online system
