Now we are looking for competent Associate Recruitment Officer, for immediate vacant filling (hire).

 Duties and Responsibilities

1. Works to ensure the right process of recruitment and selection to get the right candidate as required;

  • Coordinate manpower requests of Departments at HQ and Regional level; facilitate the Job description and specification development of required position;
  • Facilitate responsibly the recruitment and placement process as per MOTI Engineering Company Human Resource Management policy and procedural manual requirement.
  • Receives and Register candidate’s application letter and documents, in accordance to requirement of announced position.
  • Thoroughly evaluate different (online & on hand) applicants credentials and conduct filtration /screen/ and prepare candidates shortlist for further evaluation process.
  • Facilitate necessary to conduct written, interview and other assessments examination of candidates with corresponding DPT managers.
  • Schedule interviews taking into account time management and team availability
  • Proposes the Job title, placement and salary for recruited staff based on MOTI Engineering “Job Classification, Grading and Salary Scale Manual” requirements.
  • When get approval, issue an offer letter dually signed to confirm acceptance of the offer.
  • Work on employee documents verification and authentication;
  • Organize recruited employee’s documents from employment request to Final employment letter, including forms completed by candidate for personal File creation.
  • Facilitate new staffs orientation and introduction, in consultation with DPT manager;

2. Work to Ensures the monthly payroll inputs  are well-organized and on time salary payments;

  • Conduct Attendance follow ups,
  • Prepare periodic attendance Summery of all staffs including District offices under regional towns;

3. Organize and keep records of applicants and position’s weighting candidates documents; by their profession background, by department …etc.

Maintain interview tracking database to track all candidates and develop candidate pool for future use,

3. To disseminate, voice and Advice staff members at all offices, on company HRM policies and procedures awareness and ensures the right implementation.

  • Take delegation, Travel to branch offices to enhance HR procedures / practices as well as disseminate remunerations, benefits and welfare information of staff;
  • Handles employee relation services;
  • Supervise staffs at working hours at their working places to ensure in-compliance of company’s code of conduct, dressing and being on the right office ethics.
  • Handles staff exit management and related activities, ensures exit interview is completed by departing staff and ensures that their clearance is complete;

 4. Organize & Attend meetings of (employment, promotion, discipline & other) committee vote-less,  Keeps and edit minutes of meeting & made to be signed promptly in consultation with HRM.

  • Follows the right implementation of contracts (Services and supplies) and facilitate the Optimal utilization of those  services’
  • Assist DPT Manager in consolidating the annual HR related report to the DPT and MD office level and operational plan preparation.

5Prepare periodic HR statistics & various Reports of HRM as required.

  • Assists Legal Advisor and the HRM  on court cases;
  • Performs other related tasks as required.

Job Requirements

Required qualification / Skills:

  • knowledge of HR Management principles, office procedures and practices;
  • knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Law and other applicable laws;
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks at once; ability to maintain good working relationship
  • Excellent in computer operation especially on all office package and other software usages skill.
  • Confidentiality, honesty, quality of work are from very important skills.
  • Good writing skill in English and Amharic languages, & strong communication in both language is required;
  • Persuasive communication, negotiating and presentation abilities /skills are very important factors
  • Strong problem solving, attention to detail, punctuality are required;
  • Principled – Expertise personality, and able to plan & perform his/her duties without close supervision.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in HR Management, foreign language or in any social science field of study & BSC in related field ; and
  • Minimum of 2 (two) years’ work experience in HR Mgt., out of which years must be on similar job position (recruitment officer works) is required.
