KMG-Ethiopia works to improve the social and economic life of women and girls through an integrated development interventions linking economy, society and ecology.  Thus, KMG seeks to invite all interested professionals who satisfy the requirements for the Position of Capacity Building & Grant Mobilization Manager who will be stationed in head office, Aldiss Ababa.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop annual operation plan, and M and E plan  for organizational capacity development, resource mobilization an grant management
  • Conducts periodic capacity need assessments and based on the findings develop a capacity development plan and ensure its timely implementation.
  • Mobilizes resources for organizational capacity development needs
  • Work closely with Admin & Finance Manager, program team in HQ and regional offices to manage grants system within KMG Ethiopia.
  • Prepare activity and training reports for review by Program Officer and submission to Program Director for approval.
  • Work closely with program officer to develop and review appropriate training materials, guidance, and procedures on identified training areas
  • Maintain clear records and data on all trainings and capacity building sessions while collaborating with Program Officer.
  • Identify staff training needs and coordinate with the Program team to cover the gaps.
  • Participate in Training of Trainers sessions to enable rollout of these trainings to other staff.
  • Monitor and supervise all grant making processes , donor policies, trends and works with RM team for funding mechanisms for KMG Ethiopia
  • Analyze Budget versus Actuals (BVA) for project, run grant status update by activity, assist in forecasts and grant compliances in accordance to donor requirement
  • Develop donor mapping and solicitation strategies and maintain relations with donors to ensure continued funding and recommend innovative funding opportunities.
  • Develop resource mobilization presentations, proposals, briefing notes; participating in donor and stakeholders meetings
  • Periodically monitor budget and expenditure of  grants, capacity building, and RM activities of KMG and compile and submit quarterly reports on the progress

Terms of Employment: – One year contract, renewable based on performance and availability of funds

Job Requirements

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience

  • BA/MA degree, Business development , Grant Management ( incl.accounting) Development studies, Marketing, , Economics, management and other related fields
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience for BA and 5 years for MA
  • Demonstrated experience working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in facilitating training on capacity building and Resource mobilization
  • Very good knowledge of policies and strategies related to institutional capacity development and grant management

Personal Qualities and Skills:

  • Strong planning, organizing, coaching, and supervising skills.
  • Strong personal integrity, proactive, timeliness and commitments to results and accountability.
