Future Hopes Integrated Development organization/FHIDO/ formerly known as Arada Child and family charitable society/FHIDO/ is an indigenous, non-governmental, non-profit, secular, legally registered Ethiopian resident charity working to building self-reliant and self-sufficient generation in Ethiopia through comprehensive and sustainable development approach. FHIDO implementing different development programs to change the wellbeing of deprived, excluded and vulnerable children and youths found in its operational areas and ensured the sustainable resilience to take part in the social, economic and political activities of their communities

Currently FHIDO is operational over the ten districts of Arada sub-city in four core programmatic areas namely, Early Childhood Development (ECD), Basic Education, Youth Development and OVC care and support project.

FHIDO is currently looking for competent, qualified and interested applicants for FHIDO, USAID Caring for Vulnerable Children activities that will be implemented in partnership with FHI360 on the following position.

Position Summary

Project coordinator would be responsible for the overall planning, implementation and evaluation of the CVC project. Besides, he/she is responsible for community mobilization and coordination of the OVC support and its sustainability in close cooperation with the program director and other responsible staff from the organization. The post holder will ensure that programs are implemented per agreements and that technical quality is of the highest standard.

Term of employment:

  • The terms of employment for the position is one-year contract with possible extension based on proven performance.

Job Requirements

Required Skill:

  • Excellent basic computer skills and demonstrated experience in using software, particularly DHIS2.
  • Excellent planning, implementation, coordination and M&E skill.
  • Significant experience in data and information management, analysis and excellent conceptual, presentation and communication skills with experience working with non-government organizations in Ethiopia.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural team
  • Well-developed communication skills to liaise, negotiate and advocate with key stakeholders including with other community based organizations and implementing agencies
  • Ability to write reports and reviews and conduct presentations by clearly formulating positions on issues and defending recommendations

Education:

  • BA/MA Degree in Sociology, Social work, Psychology, Public Health and Development Studies

Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years for MA/ 6 years for BA, NGO experience in community development work with strong exposure to USAID funded OVC/ HVC project implementation.
