Being a dynamic and fast-growing organization, the company has registered increased activities at the national level resulting in the establishment of the Public Sector Support Division to provide technical assistance to the donor community, public institutions, and business communities within the framework of Project Cycle Management (PCM).

To help meet increased demand for our services to our customers, we intend to reinforce our professional staff. We plan to recruit a Public Sector Development Advisory Manager with a solid background, experience in a consultancy environment, and expertise in Project Cycle Management and research capabilities.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Expertise in Project Cycle Management and research capabilities.
• He or She will by and large be expected to play a supportive role to the Head of the Public Sector Division in his day-to-day work with special reference to providing demand-driven data and information supported by research activities.
• He or She will play a cardinal role for enhanced and efficient service delivery to our customers.
• Transform the position of under-study to leadership skills and successful experience in project coordination or team management;
• Excellent in the design of questionnaire surveys, fieldwork, research, data collection, interpretation, and analysis.
• Communication and leadership experience in establishing strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• At least  8 years of experience in Master’s Degree in Economics, Management, Development studies, and Social Sciences or related field. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in similar fields and at least 10 years of professional experience in addition to the minimum required below;

General professional experience:

• At least 5 years of professional experience in areas directly relevant to Project Cycle Management (PCM), benchmarking, feasibility study, formulation, preparation of technical proposals, project implementation, mid-term, ex-post and ex-ante monitoring and evaluation,

•  Solid experience in research activities is of great importance.

• Experience in EDF procedures; services, supplies, grants will be an asset

Specific professional experience:

• Work experience with development aid agencies; such as EU, World Bank, DFID, GIZ, etc.

• Experience in developing countries, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA), will be an asset.

•  Experience in relevant sectors of the Home-grown Economic Policy agenda and the Ten-Year Economic Development Plan of the government of Ethiopia;

• Professional experience covering formulation and designing of Private Sector Development projects and promotion of business environment and investment climate in Ethiopia.

• Experience in leading policy dialogue processes, organizing and staging capacity-building programs, including a workshop in public-private dialogue.

• Experience in providing business advisory services for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in Ethiopia.

Skills:

• Fully computer literate, proficient user of Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in English, including excellent speaking, presentation, and written and reporting abilities.
• Project Management.
• Decision making skills, sense of judgment and balanced perspective.
• Good interpersonal and relationship skills.
