Brief Introduction

REACH Ethiopia is a non-profit local organization established and registered as an Ethiopian Residents Charity. It strives to contribute for community development through implementation of innovative and targeted project interventions to deliver quality health services for disadvantaged communities. Since its establishment in 2013, REACH Ethiopia has implemented community-based TB care interventions and integrated health service projects in Sidama, SNNP and parts of Oromia Regions.

REACH Ethiopia in collaboration with Ministry of Health is currently implementing different projects throughout the country. The main goal of the projects is to contribute to national efforts to achieve END TB 90(90)90 milestone set for 2035 by increasing the quality, access, utilization, and sustainability of TB services in the project implementation area.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • As a secretary you will assume the duty of clerical and administrative support to optimize workflow procedures in the office.
  • You will assist colleagues and executives by supporting them with planning and distributing information.
  • You will be the point of reference for all queries, requests or issues and will be an integral part of the company’s workforce.
  • As a cashier your responsible to process payments including checks and cash payments receiving payments and issuing receipts, keeping track of all cash and credit transactions. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service position and good knowledge of how cash registers operate.

Secretarial Related Responsibilities

  • Answer phone calls and redirect them when necessary
  • Manage the daily/weekly/monthly agenda and arrange new meetings and appointments
  • Prepare and disseminate correspondence, memos, and forms
  • File and update contact information of employees, customers, suppliers, and external partners
  • Support and facilitate the completion of regular reports
  • Develop and maintain a filing system
  • Check frequently the levels of office supplies and place appropriate orders
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Document expenses and hand in reports
  • Undertake occasional receptionist duties

Casher Related Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of weekly cash counts for Fin/Admin Officer approval (cash checking statement)
  •  Responsible for preparation of monthly cash counts for Fin/Operations Department approval (cash checking statement)
  • Responsible for payment execution at the REACH Ethiopia Office and its project sites (according to the REACH Ethiopia Office payment procedures).
  • Responsible to keep financial records, updated and ready for posting.
  • Settle all financial l transactions on time and make them ready for review.
  • Responsible for preparing payment voucher for approval by Finance/ Operations Director and Executive Director payment is processed
  • Responsible for linking with Logistics on suppliers’ relation (payment oriented)

  • Proven work experience as a secretary or cashier
  • Familiarity with office organization and optimization techniques
  • High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Integrity and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  •  Time Management Efficiency
  •  Flexibility

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Accounting and Finance
