About the Position

Dexis is seeking an experienced Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) Advisor for an upcoming multi-year regional contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Ethiopia Mission. The Highlands Resilience Platform for Adaptive Learning (R-PAL) project will support the USAID TIGER Project – both its staff and its key stakeholders – to be more efficient, effective, transparent and skilled in achieving development outcomes through the use of evidence, adaptive management techniques, and Collaborating, Learning and Adapting (CLA) practices that enable increased resilience for the chronically vulnerable in the Highlands.

This is a long-term position expected to start in late 2021. The position is contingent upon contract award. Local nationals are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Implement adaptive management techniques and CLA practices.
  • Coordinate, plan, and implement institutional learning activities relevant to the achievement of the USAID/ Highlands Resilience Platform for Adaptive Learning Activity and USAID’s goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate trainings and processes between implementation partners, USAID and others. Communicate with training experts in finalizing the training materials.
  • Facilitate learning events and processes.
  • Develop learning agendas to inform future activity design and adjustments to current implementation.
  • Track best practices in knowledge management and adult learning to incorporate new or improved learning tools and approaches.
  • Gather and disseminate knowledge and information on best practices for high priority, cross-cutting Mission activities.
  • Serve as a resource for organizational change management within USAID Missions.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field relevant to development assistance, such as international affairs, public administration, development studies, or other related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible, professional work experience in knowledge management, organizational learning, analysis, facilitation, and strategic communications.
  • Experience facilitating learning, collaboration, and organizational change management.
  • Experience organizing and leading trainings and workshops on organizational learning and knowledge management, with USAID, implementation partners, and other participants.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal).

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with monitoring & evaluation and systems thinking preferred.
