Job Description

  • Need to achieve regional objectives by contributing to share sales information and make recommendations and assist with strategic planning and reviews.
  • Ensuring execution of action plans to customer service standards, assisting to resolve any queries identifying regional customer and competitor trends and act quick to be ahead of the market curve.
  • Drive and implement improvements and ensure change to grow top line volume against AOP targets.
  • Meet regional sales and financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, analysing variances and drive the correct behaviour with sales teams.
  • Review and present volume, expenditure and profitability actual/forecast vs plan
  • Develop & present a 1 year regional operational plan
  • Monitor sales and KPI activities and ensure all regional sales targets are achieved.
  • Monitor productivity and reallocate or reorganize resources to improve productivity – assigning and delegating projects/tasks to staff accordingly
  • Conduct regular sales meetings and dialogue sessions
  • Audit compliance/follow up
  • Compile and distribute relevant project reporting to highlight Return on Investment
  • Provide input into and implement regional accounts plan to ensure region’s delivery towards the national plan.
  • Liaise with Regional Buying Group Managers to ensure a positive business relationship for furthering the company’s market position.
  • Ensure delivery of volume plan of agents / distributors
  • Work with trade
  • Liaise with external merchandising service providers to achieve most effective merchandising practices.
  • Understand competition in the market.
  • Enable team to devise innovative ways to manage the customer segments and display products in the various customer segments
  • Source and manage distributors and engage with all customers within their regions.

Qualifications/Requirements

Qualifications

  • University degree, commercially related.

Previous Experience

  • Commercial Related Degree
  • Possess a sound understanding of organisational processes, procedures, standards and controls, spanning across different functional areas
  • 7-10 years’ experience of world class FMCG approaches, methods and systems
  • 5 years managerial experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent selling skills
  • Proven Customer Focus
  • Demonstrated Commercial acumen
  • Financial Know-How
