Consultant for TB Laboratory Program Commodities Supply Chain Management
Background
The purpose of the Global Health Supply Chain– Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) Program is to ensure uninterrupted supplies of health commodities in support of United States Government (USG)-funded public health initiatives around the world. The project provides direct procurement and supply chain management support to the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) and Population and Reproductive Health. The project also provides technical assistance (TA) for HIV, Maternal and Child Health, TB and COVID19 supply chain management. In supporting USG-funded global health activities, GHSC-PSM will develop and manage a wide array of services for health commodity procurement and related systems strengthening TA encompassing different elements of a comprehensive supply chain.
At the country level, GHSC-PSM supports country strategies and priorities that fall under the following three project objectives:
- Improve the availability of health commodities.
- Strengthen in-country supply chain systems.
- Build effective global and local collaboration to improve the long-term availability of health commodities Purpose
Purpose
The Laboratory Supply Chain Consultant for TB program is responsible to technically lead activities related to 2024/25 Q2 supply plan development (revision) of TB lab products in the country. S/He is expected to support the TB laboratory commodities compiling and verifying the stock status for TB lab commodities, and in revising the supply plan of TB lab commodities. S/he supports in the final report writing in of the supply plan revision exercise.

About You
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in laboratory technology, MSc in microbiology or MPH is preferred
- Minimum of eight years of experience in supply chain management preferably on TB and HIV program laboratory commodities.
- Adequate knowledge and practical experience in clinical laboratory work including laboratory commodities management.
- Demonstrated ability of working in the public health supply chain environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage and implement complex USAID-funded public health programs or projects in a developing country context.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
- Written and spoken English fluency required.
- Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
