Purpose of the job:

The Corporate Communication Officer is responsible for creating smooth and continues communications content with the HQ on behalf of HFC-Aus. He/she will closely work with sponsorship advisors, support our internal and external communications strategy, write and disseminate publicity material, respond to inquiries from the senior management, public and media, and coordinate promotional events and fund-raising grant applications writing.

The Corporate Communication Officer will also manage the sponsorship program operations at the project level ensuring compliance to HFC-Aus sponsorship tools, systems and standards, and smooth integration of sponsorship operation with program implementation in order to consistently monitor the program, sustain the relationship of the sponsors and HFC through an excellent and ontime reporting and achieve the child well-being outcomes.

The Corporate Communication Officer is largely responsible for the way in which employees, Stakeholders, Visitors, Volunteers and the public view the organization.

Main Responsibilities

  • Directs the overall flow of information for the organization and works with every department of the organization.
  • Develop, write and edit communications materials, including Letters, School Reports, Press releases, Newsletters, Posts and Social media contents and etc.
  • Track analytics and create reports detailing successes and failures of communications.
  • Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos on HFC-Aus Dropbox nad Hard-disk provided.
  • Work with The CR, the SMT and HQ office to conceptualize and implement communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with the senior management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy.
  • Develops internal newsletters for the employees.
  • Draft updates to optimize website content in collaboration with HQ office.
  • Write, edit, and distribute content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other material that communicates the organization’s activities, products and periodic reports to specific donors,partners, financial grant reports.
  • Respond to media inquiries, arrange interviews, and act as a spokesperson for the organization, after an approval is granted from HQ Office.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the brand, and coordinate publicity events as required.
  • Ensure all communications aligns with brand standard of the organization and manages the HFC-Aus branding.
  • Develop escalation protocols for managing communication crises, should they arise.
  • Any other duties as agreed, from time to time, with management and HQ.
  • This post holder will not manage or supervise team but will closely work witheach departments.
  • Prepares and manages the communication budget.
  • Assist in strategic and business planning for the effective operation of the school.
  • Submit timely and accurate reports to the Country Representative,the HQ, the senior management and the board as as required.

Job Requirements

  • Have superior time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, creative thinkers and work well in a team setting.
  • Possess exceptional writing skills and be able to compose engaging and accurate content.
  • Have ability to think strategically and identify ways to improve communication efforts.
  • Be resourceful and take initiative even when given minimal direction.
  • Have strong public speaking skills.

JOB REQUIREMENTs

  • BSc in communications, Business Management, Marketing, English, Linguistics, Journalism, Media relations or related discipline.
  • 5-8 years’ experience as a Communication Officer, Sponsorship Officer or equivalent experience in a similar role is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in design and publishing software.
  • Experience in working with Adobe Photoshop, In Design, and Illustrator is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Content Management Systems and Social Media or Web platforms.
