Easy Ethiopia is one of the fastest growing tech enabled start-ups in Ethiopia. We are in the ride-hailing (Easy Trip), e-commerce (Easy Market), Last mile delivery (Easy Delivery) and telecom (Easy Telecom) Businesses. To keep up with the exponential growth of this business, we are looking to hire a qualified Chief Technology Officer to join our team.
As CTO, you will:
· Set the technology vision of the company
· Own key technological and architectural decisions
· Attract and manage development teams
· Create the product and technical roadmap
· Lead the design and development of the platform

Required Skills/Experience
1. Leadership
• Built and led a technical team, and managed their welfare and professional development
• Managed an agile development project before, with experience of scoping and setting timelines
• Obsessive about customer- centricity, and constantly seeking to promote the optimum experience
• Able to communicate the importance of automation and scalability
2. Technical
• Experience in building & scaling tech enabled businesses or similar services
• Demonstrated track record of delivering well-engineered products/platforms with modern technologies for multiple user groups
• Worked on a diverse set of full stack technologies including experience with web, mobile, data and infrastructure
• Appetite for experimenting with large data sets, new technologies and tools to drive innovation and creativity
3. Product Focus
• Proven delivery of a product to market, in a B2C context and ideally in B2B also
• Engaged in the product development process in prior roles
• Experience of knowing when to push for the perfect solution versus a simpler way to move product development forward
• Interest in tracking how the software is being used and keep on top of key technical and user metrics
4. Nice-to-haves
• Genuine interest, passion or experience in on – demand services , commerce and Fintech
• Strong and established technical network and can leverage this network to accelerate platform development
• Strong communication skills
