Position Summary

The Education supervisor is responsible to coordinate the overall community based education project at woreda/Subcities through the development of regular and timely monitoring plan and implementation. The Education Supervisor has experience to be aware of the Regional Educational Policies, Strategies and Education Sector Development Programs and particularly the primary education policy frameworks. S/he should have good knowledge of equity and quality issues of primary education.

Job Duties

  • Facilitate & ensure the implementation of the intervention at community level
  • Conduct case studies and period of the achievement of the project
  • Supervise community development activities in the assigned sub cities
  • Serve as promotor and educator in the assigned target area
  • Organize training, workshop to the initiative and other community development topics
  • Prepare and consolidate periodical technical support, provide update and narrative report of the activities performed and submit to immediate supervisor
  • Represent ECD inn community meetings ,conference, and workshop when assigned by the organization
  • Support documentation of good practice
  • Work closely with worded/sub cities and other local stakeholders to smoothen the implantation to ensure project sustainability
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

  • Improving Access to Quality Primary Education in Yeka & Kolfe Keraniyo Sub-City

Reports to:

  • Project Manager

Salary:                        

  • Negotiable

Duration:                   

  • One year with possibility of extension based on performance

Job Requirements

Job requirement

  • First degree in education, or other social science related fields.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in education sector in which one year as a supervisor/school director, prior experience in NGO context in education sector advantageous.
  • Has high interpersonal skill
  • Has working experience with school community and other stakeholders; and
  • Good experience in documentation and reporting of project activities
  • Understanding of Child rights
  • Good communication skill-English & Amharic
  • Computer skills: MS-Word, MS-excel, power point etc…
