Job Requirements and Qualifications

• Educational background: Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, highest Diploma in Food Preparation or a related field from accredited hotel institute/college
• Work experience: 10 years and above relevant experience as Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef in a well-known 4-star or 5-star hotel
• Certificate/training: Having COC certification is an advantage
• Language skills: Very good written and spoken English

• Proven experience as an executive chef within a 4- or 5-star hotel environment
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with the ability to adapt to changing environments
• Excellent leadership skills with a hands-on approach and lead-by-example work style
• Ability to manage the full kitchen team showing attention to detail and an understanding of bringing out the best from all team members
• Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry
• Ability to find creative solutions, offering advice and recommendations
• Enthusiasm to develop themselves and others within the department
• Knowledge of international health and safety regulations and best practices
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Outstanding analytical and strategic skills improving the business from a financial perspective
• Excellent ability to work collaboratively across functions
• Skilled with Microsoft Office software, especially in Excel
