About the Job
Marginpar Ethiopia is growing and exporting summer flowers based in Oromia region West Showa Zone, Wolmera Woreda near Holeta town, of 85 hectares. Marginpar employs 950 people and our motto is” WE GROW PEOPLE, OUR PEOPLE GROW UNIQUE FLOWERS”.
The position is a full-time work, 48 hours per week, the successful candidate is required to live in Wolmera/Holeta or be willing to relocate.
The Company deliver transport access from Holeta to Farm in the morning and after work.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage records of employees by preparing folders, labeling personnel files, and filing information and Maintain updated, secured staff information and personnel files.
- Maintain and record every new employment, transfer, promotion, salary adjustment, salary scale revision, resign, terminated activities
- Work with supervisors in setting up individual orientation program for all newly hired staff and provide induction training /orientations on HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure that each employee has completed all pension formalities and has obtained a pension ID card, compile staff documents for pension registration and ensure staff are registered.
- Ensure all staff has specific roles and received Job descriptions.
- Keeps and updates staff leave records (annual, sick, maternity, parental, etc.)
- Assist the HR Manager in getting summary of performance evaluation on time.
- Prepare & compile payroll and overtime information and submit them to Finance on time.
- Build culture of teamwork, commitment, and performance across all departments.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Communication: HRO needs to be fluent in English, Afan Oromo and Amharic both written and spoken for communication is mandatory.
- Have very good understanding of 1156/2019 labor laws, interpretation and implementation.
- Have a planning and organizational skills to achieve targets and company policies.
- Have ability to conduct performance appraisals.
- Must have a sound work ethic, excellent communication skills and work well both independently or as members of a team.
- Successful candidate is proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access. Well organized with ability to manage data bases and figures.
Qualification, Education and Experience:
- BA Degree in HR Management, Business Management or related fields.
- 5 to 10 years’ experience as HR Officer or Assistant
Performance evaluation 80% and above
