Jalo Hotel Shashemene is a new opening Four-star Hotel which embodies a feeling of home away from home for those who know appreciating the best, it is situated at the very heart of Shashemene City, Our exceptionally high level of employee engagement is one of the key success factors that we want to continue building on, thus we Would like to invite applicants for the vacant post of  Guest Service Agent/ Receptionist.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive guests to the hotel by greeting them warmly, and attending to their inquiries, and also answering inquirers over the phone.
  • Inform guests of the services and accommodation rates in the hotel, make reservations for guests according to their needs, and also make sure that all reservations canceled are effected immediately to avoid confusion.
  • Keep clear and comprehensive records of guest room bookings and all billings for accountability and future reference.
  • Maintain orderliness at the front desk by arranging documents accordingly and keeping the front desk area clean at all times to avoid rowdiness.
  • Report issues of maintenance and malfunctioning appliances for quick repair in order to ensure guests’ comfort and satisfaction.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

Education 

  • BA/Dip/ TVET Certificate in Front Office/Hotel Management/  or any related fields

Experience

  • 2 years of Relevant experience In international Hotels /Knowledge of MS packages and IDS software  is ( Desirable)

Skills

  • Exhibit excellent knowledge of customer service.
  • Good interpersonal skills.

Additional Required Skill and Basic Competencies

  • Good interpersonal communication & Customer handling skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Service-oriented
