Organization Background:
HUNDEE – Oromo Grassroots Development Initiative is a local non-partisan, not-for profit and secular charity organization established in April 1995. HUNDEE broadly envisions seeing a just world where women, men, boys and girls live in dignity and prosperity. To this end, it has been promoting various projects being developed in the areas of development and community education interventions. It has secured funding support from USAID/PEPFAR for the implementation of a project that seeks to deliver family-focused HIV prevention, testing, care services and interventions for vulnerable children in Shashamane, Goba, Bule-Hora, Nagelle-Borena, Adola, Shakiso, Odo-Shakiso and Yabello towns in Oromia National Regional State. The Main purpose of this project is to strengthen local HIV epidemic control so that 95% of individuals living with HIV know their status, 95% of persons living with HIV initiate antiretroviral therapy and 95% of clients on antiretroviral therapy achieve their viral load suppression. Here, our organization seeks to hire competent and qualified candidates who fulfill the following criteria of the position.

Job Summary:
Under the direction and close supervision of Program Manager/Project Focal Person, the HIV Prevention, Care & Treatment Service Project Coordinator is primarily responsible to:
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, supportive supervision, monitoring and reporting of HIV Prevention, Care & Treatment Service Project activities to be implemented in eight towns of Oromia National Regional State,
- Ensure proper utilization of organizational resources (financial, logistics & human resources),
- Manage intervention activities of the project (Economic Strengthening, HIV testing and treatment, Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting and learning; and Resource mobilization),
- Closely collaborate and network with relevant stakeholders in order to achieve project goal and ensure sustainability of the project,
- Support and coach project staff in preparing quarterly, monthly and weekly activity plan, budget and report,
- Prepare and submit overall performance/accomplishment reports to the Head Office as well as Donor Organization adhering to donor requirements/compliances,
- Ensure that appropriate technical and administrative support is provided by program team to enhance the capacity of the coordination office for successful implementation of the project, and
- Undertake other related activities as instructed by his/her immediate supervisor.
Job Requirements
Required Education and Qualification:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sociology, Social Works, Developmental Studies, Business Administration/Management, Leadership, Public Health, or other Social Science from recognized universities or colleges
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 10/8 years proven work experience, of which 8/6 in a supervisory/managerial /project coordination position respectively, NGO experience with strong exposure to USAID funded projects (i.e. OVC/ HVC/CVC) is preferable,
Skill and Personal qualities:
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and report writing skills, technical competence and ability to manage complex working environment;
- Proven knowledge of working with Microsoft packages, and ability to prepare various reports in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and etc.
Language Ability:
- Proficiency in Afaan Oromo, Amharic and English languages is mandatory
