ChildFund Ethiopia would like to invite eligible individual translation service providers from English to Amharic and from English to Tigrigna, a set of three manuals developed for pilot childcare center project which are: childcare workers’ training manual (88 pages), parenting session guide (71 pages), and coaching and facilitation guide (28 pages).
Job Requirements
The minimum skills and qualifications for the consultant(s) to conduct the translation of these documents are:
- The Translator should provide all applicable legal documents that have all been renewed and valid for the current fiscal year, also related certifications.
- A degree most preferably in Child Development/Developmental Psychology/Early Childhood Education, Sociology or related field of study (15 points)
- Experience in developing and/or translating ECD related documents, manuals, books, etc. in English and Amharic for the Amharic translator(s), and in English and Tigrigna for the Tigrigna translator(s) (20 Points)
- Experience in child health, early learning and child development programs and projects or in communication works (15 points)
- Excellent written ability in English and Amharic/Tigrigna languages evidenced (10 points)
- The firm should clearly state the price in ETB including all related taxes and other related cost.
How to Apply
Qualified consultants will be considered based on their responsiveness to the requirements listed above with score at least 35 points, financial evaluation will be based on least price after technical review results. Finally, the winner will be notified through the firm address.

Interested bidders should submit their sealed Technical and financial proposal (with clear cost breakdown including all associated taxes) duly marking the envelopes as “Technical & Financial” proposal in one envelop. And Copy of financial proposal must be submitted separately duly marking “copy financial proposal”.
