Evertop Sportswear Plc. is in the process of establishing a garment factory in Bole Lemi Industrial Park, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It plans to manufacture wearing apparel for the export market. Evertop is looking for highly motivated personnel to fill the following position.
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Information Technology Manager who will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring that computing systems and equipment are operating effectively and efficiently.
To be successful in this position you will demonstrate a detailed knowledge of the industry’s best practices and evidence a professional track record of effective technical management, information analysis, and a thorough understanding of computer hardware and software systems.
- Duties and Responsibilities
- Management of the IT Systems Department including System & Network administration, database administration, application & web development in charge
- Designing, developing, implementing, and coordinating systems, policies, and procedures
- Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems
- Monitor the services
- Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT operations
- Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time
- Audit systems and assess their outcomes
- Take part in the technical strategy definition and ensure its declension within the technical teams
- Guarantor of the service quality
- Coordinate and optimize the use and operation of IT and office resources
- Manage the IT budget
- Ensure the backup of local computer data
- Ensure the adaptation and maintenance of the IT equipment
- Accompany and provide support to local employees on a daily basis
- Operate all CCTV equipment cameras, radios, and ancillary equipment to provide pro-active and reactive monitoring of CCTV cameras to assist with the detection of any activity which is against the law and support in the reduction of the disorder.
- Monitoring and operating the site CCTV systems including associated reports.
- Monitor CCTV both live and recorded surveillance footage,
- Reporting incidents or suspicious behavior in a timely manner to the concerned body and manage associated paperwork & documentation including detailed handovers.
- Respond to emergency situations & liaise with emergency services for immediate solutions.
- Attend, represent & actively take part in all required meetings.

- BSC Software Engineering in the Information system, Computer science, and related fields
Experience
- Min 7 to 10 years – IT Manager
Qualifications, Skills, competence, or any requirement for the position
- proficient Computer Skills (MS Word, MS Excel)
- BA/BSC Degree
- 6 years of experience of IT experience required.
- Knowledge in technical management, information analysis, and computer hardware/software systems
- Knowledge in network administration and network installation
- Ability to adapt and be on the look-out for new ideas
- Time management skills
- Fault-finding skills
- Flexibility
- Good interpersonal skills/team spirit
- Fluency in both spoken and written English including business terminology required.
- Willingness to be multi-tasks, even more during the launch phase of the activity
