Who we are
Ethio Star is the International group of companies specialized in automotive business, procurement solution and brand representation. Our core business is supplying brand new vehicles to GOs, NGOs, diplomatic missions and private companies.
For our Addis Ababa representative office, we are looking for sales and marketing manager for the following duties:
Sales: Develop a new customer’s segmentation (Ethiopian business private sector). Introduce and develop new brands, products and ranges.
Marketing and communication: Upgrade and maintain the company website and social media. Create printing and outdoors advertisement
Role
Accomplishes business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities and plans; implementing sales plans.
Main marketing and sales related duties include but are not limited to:
- Achieves marketing and sales operational objectives by compiling marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Meets marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
- Accomplishes marketing and sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
- Identifies marketing opportunities by identifying consumer requirements; defining market, competitor’s share, and competitor’s strengths and weaknesses; forecasting projected business; establishing targeted market share.
- Improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; coordinating new product development.
- Sustains relationships with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.
- Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
- Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Willingness to fill in and work in different positions in the company as needed.
Job Requirements
Background
- BA/MA in Sales, Marketing or similar
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in sales with international trade companies or similar
- Fluent in spoken and written English, knowledge of French or other international languages is a plus,
- Good working knowledge of ITC technologies (phone, fax, email, the internet) and computer applications (e.g. MS Office), web panel
Other knowledge, additional competences
- Broad experience of sales and marketing,
- Knowledge of automotive business,
- Excellent organization and communication skills,
- Flexible in working with and filling in for different position in the company as needed.
