Job Description

Responsibility:

  • Engage and play an active role in any HIS Technical Working Group to foster continual improvement and success of the HIS strategy
  • Provide technical input in the development, customization, upgrading and integration, piloting, rollout , maintenance and use of electronic HIS, including DHIS2, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and eCHIS etc
  • Plan, coordinate and conduct trainings and workshops as needed to support the implementation of electronic HIS and HIV/AIDS monitoring and evaluation, data quality assurance, data analysis and information use.
  • Identify the current situation of eHealth infrastructure, connectivity and design mechanism to solve such barriers for implementation.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the FMOH’s PPMED team in the development and implementation of HIS including the development of national HMIS indicator definitions and guides , HMIS recording and reporting tools and procedures, data quality, standard procedures for data analysis, reporting and information sharing and other M&E guides.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support and assistance in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of HIS related activities,
  • Facilitate, support and participate in periodical Health Sector Transformation Plan (HSTPII) performance reviews and Evaluations.
  • Play an active role in routine HMIS data collection, data quality assurance, analysis and reporting, including program specific disease and service delivery trends
  • Analyze, document and disseminate national health program performance and successes on a regular basis
  • Organize the collection, analysis, documentation, exploitation and dissemination of best practices and lessons learned.

Job Requirements

Education: 

  • MSC degree in Statistics, Data Science, MPH, Health Informatics, M&E.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years working experience focusing on M&E; conducting quantitative and qualitative analyses, and reporting findings to senior management; participated in conducting surveys, including the design, data collection and analysis;

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of SPM; Proven knowledge, abilities and skills in the areas of Monitoring and Evaluation;  In-depth knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methods, metrics, statistical applications and reporting systems; Create/use digital media and data visualization platforms, Development and maintenance of monitoring database

Languages: Fluency in oral and written English;

Competencies:

  • Ability to establish priorities, plan, coordinate and organize one’s own work plan;
