Job Description
- Develop and ensure implementation of necessary Rules, Standards, Action Plans and Procedures set for the activities of the factory.
- Make sure quality improvement measures are analyzed and corrective actions are set up.
- Ensure implementation of Quality Management and Food Safety systems are properly followed.
- Develop production plan with close follow up of sales and distribution activities and other departments to avail adequate products and meet sales plans.
- Propose technical analysis & advices according to business operational needs
- Together with his/her team, determine the Factory vision and mission according to business needs, identify priorities, action plans and set up the driving system for achieving results
- Monitor the Factory’s performance and links it to the maintenance and enhance maintenance activities based on feed backs, and take corrective and preventive measures accordingly.
- Ensure optimal usage of all resources through minimization of production loss and minimizing stock
- Understand local legislation on issues of Safety, Health and Environment areas make sure all production activities are in compliance to all the legal requirements
- Ensure Risk Assessment, Accident Reporting and Analysis procedure are developed and carried out in a timely & prompt manner.
- Facilitate the provision of continuous safety trainings for all the Factory employees and ensure recognition of positive safety behavior
- Effectively manage all consequences of the production activities on the environment
- Ensure optimization of utility (such as energy and water) consumption & losses
- Facilitate training on environmental awareness to all employees
- Ensure compliance and successful implementation of HR policies
- Build succession planning in collaboration with the HR & Admin experts
- Participate and leads the recruitment and selection process for Factory personnel
- Understands applicable local labor laws and Company internal directives, if any
- Carry out training need analysis and develop a training plan and relevant incentive schemes together with other management staff.
- Ascertains that periodical performance reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc) are prepared and make available for evaluation so that workers’ appraisals are constantly documented.
- Direct annual budgeting and planning process for the department’s annual budget
- Ensure proper maintenance budget is allocated on a yearly basis to maintain the required technical level of the installations
- Prepare and deploys to department level the Factory budget with Department Managers: variable costs (raw materials, packaging materials, …) and fixed costs (maintenance costs, personnel costs, Other Fixed Expenses, …); timing is in line with indications from Finance
- Ensure Factory budget is in line with indications of the others Departments and identify deviations and work together with department heads to ensure recovery.
Job Requirements
- MSc/BSc degree in Chemical Engineering or Food Science or Food Processing Technology or Industrial Engineering or relevant field
- Minimum of 6/8 years experience for MSc/BSc respectively in Edible Oil or Consumable items manufacturing or food processing entity
- Basic computer application, planning, leading, organizing, controlling, technical, human, Reporting and analytical skill
