Job Description
Bright Future Ethiopia Development and Charity Association (BFE) is a young local non-government organization (NGO) established in 2016 striving to expand while focusing on the unreached section of the community to make them resilient and self-reliant. BFE is looking for a competent Junior Project Manager who meets the following minimum requirements.
Major roles and Responsibilities
- Adherence to BFE ,Government and Donor policies, guidelines and standards;
- Responsible for concept note preparation, proposal and Design document development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects based on GOs, NGOs, and donors requirement.
- Develop monthly, quarterly and annual detail work plan and follow appropriate implementation at project sites
- Undertake regular field visits to monitor and assure quality progress of project activities and provide technical support to project staffs and feedback to programme team
- Lead the creation of/Development/ adoption appropriate project models (Integrate farm plan (PIP), Village Saving and Loan Association (VSLA), Farmers Managed Natural Regeneration (FMNR) etc.)
- Responsible to coordinate all project management (Base line assessments, Designing, executing, monitoring, and evaluation) in line with government and donors’ requirements.
- Work on integration and synergies among projects during planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation for better efficient and effective result.
- Lead Preparation of Data collection form or simple Database of projects for continuous recording of project progresses including financial status.
- Developing PMEL managements, follow ups and lead the reviewing, feedback collection from community/households/different stakeholders’ (including donors), incorporate the feedbacks and complete the approval.
- Developing PMEL System (including soft system, feedback mechanisms for community
- Ensure the Preparation of all kinds of reports to stakeholders’ (including donors) these fulfil standards and requirements
- Critically follow the project financial reports with the collaboration of finance officer for timely transactions, update in the tracking forms
- Ensure strong coordination with stakeholders on assessment, project /program/design, and the implementation of projects.
- Organize Quarterly/biannual/annual review meeting with stakeholders to review status of project progress and collect feedback for further improvement and decisions.
- Supervision of staff working under his management (Performance evaluation, Improvement plans, coaching, coordination, etc.)
- Identify gaps of staffs’ capacity and give short and long-term capacity building training including PMEL to enhance capacity of staffs in project implementation and management.
- Support, capacitate, consult and advise the organization staffs with technical and management inputs, developing high level quality project planning(including PMEL issues) and reports these meet donors and government standards
- Other relevant activities deemed necessary.

Number of position: 1(one)
Duration: Nine months (Fixed Tem Contract, with probation period): extension depends on budget availability
Duty station: Yaya Gullele (100 % fully project site based)
Job Requirements
Qualification required /Competencies
- BSc/MSc Degree in Plant Science, Horticulture, Rural Development, Natural Resource Management, Agronomy, and other related fields with Minimum of 7 years’ relevant work experience preferably at I/NGOs from which at least 3 years at Project Officer, coordinator or higher positions.
- Knowledge and Experience in integrated livelihood (Agriculture, food security, WASH, Education, Climate change, environment, Natural Conservation, Emergency response and integrated farm plan) projects are preferable)
- Knowledge and experience in local fund raising and networking with GO and NGOs
- Must have a high level and Strong communication skill in English (fluent both writing and speaking) and local languages
- Must self-motivated and independent
- Know laws and regulation of Agency of civil Society Organizations (ACSO) for NGOs
- Willing to work in high pressure and insecure environments
