Job Summary

The Radiologist will be responsible for interpreting medical images to support the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries. This role involves analyzing X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other imaging studies to provide accurate and timely reports to referring physicians. The Radiologist will also ensure that imaging procedures are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with established clinical standards.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong diagnostic abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient care. They will work closely with other healthcare professionals to contribute to high-quality, patient-centered services within the hospital.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and mammograms.
  • Analyze patient medical histories and symptoms to determine the appropriate imaging techniques to use.
  • Consult with other medical professionals to discuss patient cases and provide expertise in imaging-related matters.
  • Discussing the procedure and medical history with patients.
  • Providing a summary of the findings and documenting it in patient records
  • Provide accurate and timely written reports of imaging findings to referring physicians.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to discuss imaging results and assist in patient management decisions.
  • Ensure imaging procedures are performed with the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
  • Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of imaging equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
  • Supervise radiologic technologists and ensure compliance with protocols and radiation safety measures.
  • Recommend additional imaging or follow-up studies when necessary for accurate diagnosis.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and records in accordance with hospital policy and legal requirements.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical team meetings.
  • Contribute to the development and review of imaging protocols and procedures.
  • Educate and train junior staff and radiographers on best practices in medical imaging.
  • Stay updated on advancements in radiology techniques and technologies through continuing medical education.
About You

Minimum Specification Requirement

Educational Qualification & Work Experience

  • Graduated from accredited University /Medical college (MD, Radiologist)
  • More than 2 years after specialty study
  • Valid/renewed professional license

Knowledge & Skill requirements

  • Skilled in interpreting a wide range of diagnostic imaging studies in X-ray, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Ultrasound, and Mammography.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and protocols, and incorporate them into clinical practice.
  • Ability to integrate imaging findings with clinical data for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Strong written and verbal skills for preparing clear, concise, and informative radiology reports.
  • Proficiency in radiological imaging software and digital imaging systems
  • Familiarity with radiation safety protocols and imaging best practices.
  • Proficiency in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and management of common illnesses.
  • Having national and international capacity building trainings and hands on research activities are an additional asset
  • Have good communication skill.
  • Have some computer skills.
  • The ability to offer emotional support to parents, guardians, and family members.
  • The ability to work in a team.
  • Language: Fluent in English (oral & written)
