We are looking for a hard-working Research Assistant to join our team! The Research Assistant will play a crucial role in uncovering valuable insights and trends that drive EBS’s content strategy and business decisions. He/she will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, collecting and analyzing under the researcher in a clear and concise manner. Basically the Research Assistant spends most of his/her time researching the information that helps the production team. This includes sourcing facts and figures and researching information and material that the production team uses in the production, directly or indirectly.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the research specialist in Identifying and exploring relevant research topics and questions and Gather data from diverse sources, such as industry reports, surveys, social media, and news articles.
- Utilize various research methodologies data collection tools, including primary and secondary data sources.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that impact our target audience and industry
- Conduct thorough data collection and providing information for researcher to support content creation, including fact-checking and sourcing information and analyzing audience data to optimize content strategy and engagement.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies.
Develop market reports and presentations.
About You
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Marketing and Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of research experience (an experience in a media company is an asset)
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SPSS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in media or marketing research is preferred.
- Knowledge of digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) is a plus.
