Position Summary

Under general direction of the General Manager/Deputy G/Manager; Sales and marketing Supervisor, plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the Sales activities of Organic Liquid Fertilizer Producing Plc supervising the sales representatives. Directs, strictly controls, assists and ensures the sales performance of the representatives as per the required sales performance continuous growth.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, directs, coordinates and controls the Sales activities through the five sales representatives in line with the set target;
  • Identifies new lines of business or expansion of existing sales in the sales area and proposes ways to react alternative ways of capturing the sales volume;
  • See and proposes strategy to resolve future negative situations that affect OLF’s business sales performance;
  • Submits report to his immediate supervisor the sales performance analysis and findings with subsequent period action plan;
  • Supervises sales results; compares plan with actual results; conducts gap analysis and submits findings with recommendations;
  • Adheres and work for the achievement of established strategies to ensure rate of growth and profitability of OLF business; coordinates studies related to investment and the progressive expansion of products and services;
  • Assess competitors’ performance and advice the team on the course of action to be taken in light of their performance;
  • Identifies, analyzes and exploits market opportunities to fulfill Sales Representative’s sales target;
  • Establish targets and ensure the performance as per the required target;
  • Checks the standard and performance of each agents against required performance;
  • Ensure each agent and shop stock  level;
  • Opens different agent and shops office at potential sales area in order to expand the retail network expansion;
  • Ensure OLF’s required policy and work procedure awareness on continuous basis;
  • Handle tender proceedings in a very competitive and responsible manner; and
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • BA in marketing, business administration or relevant field; MSc/MA will be a plus.
  • Proven experience working in countryside and willing to travel when required.
  • Proven experience as a marketing manager or similar role for more than 5 years.
  • Knowledge of data analysis, market research, marketing principles & best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office/Working knowledge of IT.
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically
  • Excellent proposal, report writing and presentation skill
  • Excellent written and spoken English, Amharic & Oromifaa; is a plus.
