About Us:

We, Merahi International PLC are looking for an experienced Accountant / Senior Accountant for paper & paper products, corrugation carton box and mono-carton manufacturing unit. You’ll guarantee that all activities related to accounting & finance must be in line with the local tax authorities and as per company policy.

Industry: Manufacturing of Paper and Paper Products

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Prepare, enter and reconcile all vouchers, records and other data / documents required as per local tax authorities;
• Gather financial data and ledgers;
• Prepare balance sheets;
• Process invoices;
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable;
• Update internal systems with financial data;
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports;
• Consolidate and analyze financial statements and results;
• Keep accurate records for all daily transactions;
• Prepare budgets and monitor expenditures;
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings;
• Oversee external and internal audits;
• Analyze finances to determine risks and create forecasts;
• Supervise Junior Accountant;
• Review and implement financial policies;
• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action;
• Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take;
• Maintain the financial health of the organization;
• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans;
• Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances;
• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met;
• Manage the preparation of budget;
• Liaise with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained;
• Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken;
• Performs other duties assigned by management, as required;

Experience Required:

•  Should have exposure and experience of at least 5 – 7 years in paper & paper products, corrugation carton box and mono-carton manufacturing accounting.
