Immediate Supervisor: General Services and Property Officer
Job Summary: – Under the general supervision of the General Services and Property Officer , the senior auto mechanic Plans work and testing procedures, using charts experiences and other organizational methods, inspects the vehicle’s mechanical components and its engine, diagnosis problems with vehicles and performs maintenance and repair work on cars, trucks and other vehicles.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans work and testing procedures, using charts experiences and other organizational methods
- Organizes the work shop with the required systems and materials and leads the work shop with efficient and effective maintenance management
- Inspects vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately and performs engine repair to a major overhaul, rebuilds or renew or maintain or replace accordingly.
- Diagnosis problems with vehicles and performs maintenance and repair work on cars, trucks and other vehicles.
- Tests parts and systems to insure they work correctly
- Inspects vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
- Ensures all critical parts are checked and tested.
- Performs basic automotive care, including changing oil and rotating tires.
- Schedules future maintenance sessions and advise drivers/customers on good vehicle use

- Repairs or replaces broken or dysfunctional parts and fixes issues (e.g. leaks)
- Provides accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
- Performs routine, scheduled, and emergency maintenance and repairs.
- Repairs and replaces parts of vehicles that have worn out or are in danger of failure.
- Performs a series of tests to eliminate possible causes of vehicle problems and ensure that he/or his fellow correcting the right problem.
- Give trainings for junior auto mechanics
- Performs other related duties as assigned by his supervisors

Job Requirements
Qualification
- Advanced diploma/, Level IV or Diploma or level III
Experience
- 6 years for Advanced and Level IV and 8 years for diploma and Level III relevant experience
Required Skills
- Full motor maintenance skill and capacity
