1.    Conduct tests by sophisticated and high tech laboratory equipment’s, analyzed  result, evaluation and check the correctness of the  laboratory test result and prepare test report for issuance of laboratory results.

2.    Evaluate, analyze and check laboratory results and data performed by Junior & Chemist.

3.    Participate on root cause identification of customer complaints.

4.    Assist, encourage and provide advice and on job training to new employees and Junior & Chemist.

5.    Participate in inter laboratory and proficiency testing programs.

6.    Participate on laboratories scheme development.

7.    Participate on the preparation of quality control chart and follow during implementation.

8.    Participate on new standard development technical committee meeting.

9.    Participate in evaluation and approval of (supplies, materials, consumables, and equipment) laboratory inputs after procurement.

10. Conduct test methods validation according to ISO/IEC 17025.

11. Prepare laboratory quality documents.

12. Participate and contribute in new method development and risk assessment activities.

13.  Evaluate and approve (supplies, materials, consumables and equipment) laboratory inputs after procurement.

14.  Supervise whether laboratory equipment are properly cleaned and records are maintained according to ISO/IEC 17025 and documented laboratory procedure.

15. Identify, evaluate and check the effectiveness of test methods that the laboratory applied for accreditation.

16. Ensure safe custody of samples prior to during and after testing, Retention period of testing samples to be ensured as sample handling procedure. Also the safety of test and measuring instruments to be ensured subject to the provision of availability of infrastructure.

17.  Conduct testing as per relevant specification and job card and calculate uncertainty for reporting in test report, wherever applicable.

18. Prepare test report; sign all pages of office copy and put up to laboratory manager along with test record register.

19. Ensure safe custody of calibrated equipment.

20. Maintain equipment being used by them for testing in proper condition. In case of breakdown take initiative, coordinate and assist laboratory manager for its early repair.

21.  Ensure that the equipment, apparatus and machines used for testing are properly cleaned and covered wherever required.

22. Ensure timely disposal of tested/calibrated samples as per procedure.

23. Respect, follow and comply with the company’s code of conduct.

24. Ensure that transfer of data from test register to test report is correct and countersign the test register.

25. Perform any other activities as directed to him/her.

BSC Degree in Chemistry

Experience:-             5 years and above relevant experience.

Training:

• High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)

• Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS)

• Gas Chromatography- Mass Spectroscopy (GC-MS)
