About the Job
Under the immediate supervision of the communications, partnership and advocacy manager, the Senior Graphic Designer will play a key role in shaping the visual identity of MSI Ethiopia Reproductive Choices. S/he is also responsible to develop visually appealing design concepts, graphics, and layouts to MSIE brand guidelines as well as donor brand requirements. Contract for 6 months with possible extension.
About You
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure a consistent visual identity across all platforms and materials.
Work closely with the marketing, product, and development teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions that meet business objectives.
Produce engaging visual content for digital platforms, including social media graphics, email templates, and website banners.
Design print materials such as newsletters, banners, flyers, posters, brochures, and packaging,
Keep up to date with industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure designs are current and relevant.
Incorporate feedback from stakeholders and make necessary revisions to designs in a timely manner.
Maintain organized files and documentation for all design projects, ensuring easy access and retrieval.
Review final designs for errors and ensure they meet quality standards before publication or printing.
Oversee the entire design process, from conceptualization to execution, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
Present design concepts and strategies to senior management and stakeholders.
Editing video and motion graphics.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in graphic design, with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of projects.
Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate design concepts to non-design stakeholders.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in video editing and motion graphics.
Knowledge of HTML and CSS for web design.
Familiarity with UX/UI design principles.
Experience in a leadership role within a design team.
