DMC Construction Plc is a first class General Contractor (GC-1) chartered in Ethiopia to provide services in civil work projects, mainly road construction and maintenance, building construction and maintenance, water works, airfield construction, water works construction, etc., would like to invite competent Candidates for the vacant position of Senior Accountant. 

Summary of Duty & Responsibility

The Senior Personnel Officer provides advice and assistance to supervisors and different level Personnel Officer.  This may include preparing different manuals, policy & procedures, job descriptions, performance reviews and any HRM activities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participate on the preparation of different HR system, manuals, formats, policies and procedures.
  • Follow-up and facilitate contract agreements timely.
  • Deliver orientation and training for new employees.
  • Prepare monthly report of the project staff with salary and other benefit cost.
  • Prepare and issuance of Certificate of Service while employee is resign/terminate.
  • Prepare different letters (guarantor, to whom it may concern, to embassy etc.) letters requested by permanent employees.
  • Follow-up and prepare expatriate invitation, employment, termination and related letters and handling of expatriate annual leave and check their return date against their daily attendance.
  • Follow-up daily laborers employment that based on manpower requisition and inform their list to Concerned Department.
  • Prepare daily laborers performance appraisal based on the projects evaluation sheet and notify to Finance department.
  • Checking and cross examine monthly attendance summary of projects employees and biweekly attendance summary of projects daily laborer.
  • Check and notify overdue sick leave for accident & common diseases of the projects employees.
  • Check and prepare final payment for terminated employee.
  • Issuance of ID cards for the employees and follow all employees put the ID while they are in working place.
  • Conduct reference checks for the applicant Company need more information.
  • Provide information for any requisition regarding HRM policy.
  • Communicate with Advertising Agencies for vacancies purpose, follow up the applicant timely and finalize the summary.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • BA Degree in Human resource managemnt, Management and /or Business Administration
  • with at least 3 years of relevant experience and above HRM related experience
  • Construction experience is  preferable
  • Customer-service oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Supervisory experience with ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Ability to establish effective relations with people of different national and cultural backgrounds whilst maintaining tact, discretion and impartiality.
