Senior secretary’s job responsibilities
Administrative tasks
- Organizing appointments and meetings
- Coordinating travel arrangements
- Screening visitors and phone calls
- Answering correspondence
- Maintaining filing systems
- Preparing reports and budgets
- Transcribing and typing correspondence, reports, and other documents
- Taking dictation
- Providing customer service
- Guiding copy typists and clerks
- Monitoring and coordinating activities of assigned personnel
- Providing information, recommendations, and direction to assigned personnel
- Facilitating urgent submissions
- Supervising clerical operations
- Directing clerical staff on policies and procedures
- Preparing minutes and action sheets
- Recording incoming and outgoing letters
