1. Position:           Specialist, Risk Management

           Duty Station:   Addis Ababa Head Office 

           Availability:      As Soon As Possible

Job Purpose: – The purpose of this job is to assist in drafting annual plan, policies and procedures of the Risk Management Division; identify risks affecting the operation of the Exchange, propose mitigation mechanism and follow up its implementation to advance interest of the Exchange and produces periodic reports.

SUMMARY MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the development of draft annual plan of the division cascaded from the corporate strategic plan and develops individual annual performance plan;
• Actively participates in the development and revision of policy, procedure, guidelines and standards  of the Division;
• Conducts corporate risk universe assessments that affects the Exchange business and identify and classify the potential risk levels/magnitudes and propose alternative risk mitigation strategies;
• Evaluates risk, which involves comparing estimated risks with criteria established by the organization and recommend ways to control or reduce risks;
• Meets with  internal clients and/or risk owners to answer queries for values at risk calculation and evaluate the risk magnitude;
• Actively participates in the process of various Insurance policy purchase and renewal; manages all insurance claims;
• Conducts post risk investigation, analyses and evaluates risk register reports from different divisions and provide feedbacks and compile with company risk profile and produce reports;
• Compiles risk information and conduct statistical analyses to quantify risk using statistical model;
• Documents, and ensures communication of key risks, recommend ways to control risks and produce periodic reports; and
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Required Qualification and Experience

·         BA/MA Degree in Management, Marketing or related fields

·         2/4 years of work experience in risk management or relevant field
