Introduction
The technical purchaser is responsible to purchase the right technical parts (requested by maintenance department & facility department). By building a network of the right local (preferred) and international suppliers ensuring the fast replenishments at the right price and quality. Decide on an inventory strategy for different parts, together with the responsible department, to maintain the right inventory levels.
Targets and deliverables
General
- comply to product quality targets, including food safety and hygiene.
- comply to all food safety standards (e.g. GMP)
- comply to all HSSE&S standards and practices
- comply with standard company rules and regulations
- Any other tasks and deliverables as given by the supervisors not listed in this JD (general manager and/or factory manager)
Technical Purchasing – SC
- Handling the purchase of local technical purchases
- Handling the purchase process of International Technical purchase
- Build a network of technical preferred supplies
- Negotiate agreement
- Enabling speed & quality
- Digitizing order & financial process
- Follow up on the status of requested purchases (in general requested by maintenance department & facility department)
- Responsible for fill purchase data base (technical part only)
- Responsible for delivering technical purchased items to requested department
- Reasonable for preparing purchase order, payment request for technical purchase
- Responsible for submitting proper document for finance for technical purchase
- Handling and following up the maintains of Machineries
Technical Purchasing – maintenance
- Know and adhere to maintenance team roll of factory.
- Familiarize with all factory machines and tools, and search address of local and international dealers can be found.
- Execute maintenance work on PMS days
- Follow up on spare part consumption and act on the need.
- Assist finance department of OPEX items (spare parts, diesel)
When at AA office,
- Act as maintenance point of contact; Generator operation and routine check.
- Help office manager on electrical and office machinery inspection and maintenance
Other Administration
- Assist in any other admin work in the supply chain and maintenance department
- Assist in any work assigned by line manager
Organizational structure
- Reporting: hierarchical to Supply chain Manager, functional also to Maintenance manager
- Place of work: Addis Abeba office 3-4 days, Tolufa 2-3 days per week
- Fleet manager should arrange transport to the factory
Job Requirements
Education
- BSc. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical and Manufacturing engineering and related fields
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience on similar Technical purchasing categories.
Technical skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Social skills
- Open-minded, dynamic and good communication skills, Flexibility
