JOB SUMMARY:

Supervise activities in the Trial Area. Daily activities and Trial area, development and implementation of flower grow plans and supervise employees in Trial Area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Advice and report on the whole trial status of flowers to R&D Holland
• Ensure that the trial is implemented according to the plan.
• Fill the field assessment and evaluation of various flower varieties with R&D Holland.
•  Summit weekly or monthly reports and send pictures to R&D Holland.
• Planting different trial plants in DF and MF.
• Prepare rooted and unrooted cuttings and send for Netherland and Kenya.
• Receive cuttings from Netherland and plant in DF or MF.
• Responsible for Mother stock and green house trial plants.
• Coordination with R&D to ensure the trial in safe and productive manner.
• Monitoring the light regium, planting date, cutting date ensure the trial weekly and daily planned program activity.

Salary and benefits: The salary will be according to the company scale, depending on education and experience.

Housing on the farm will be provided (if applicable).

The Trial supervisor expected to:

• Have good communication with management and subordinates.
• Respect farm rules, regulations & Ethiopian Labor Law.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Agriculture, Horticulture or Floriculture.
• Proven affinity for research and development techniques, statistics, analytical skills.
• Speak English (fluently), Oromo and/or Amharic optional.
• Proven skills in MS-Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Prepared to live in Derba (farm).
• Team-player.
• Good managerial and organisational skills with a pro-active approach.
• Experience not required.
