Kunzila Horticulture Development 1017 views

Kunzila horticulture industry development is one of three prospective horticulture corridors identified by the government of Ethiopia; the other two being Shalla and Alage. The Kunzila site is located in Amhara Regional State, 54 km from Bahairadr on the west side of Lake Tana. The total size of the land is 526 ha and this land was run by Ethiopian Seed Enterprise until last year where Amhara Seed Enterprise took over for transitional period until the floriculture investors are fully on-board. In relation to the floriculture investment, several steps have been taken to reach common understanding among different stakeholders over the last two years. Among others there were series of dialogues among regional and local government, community members and investors about the planned investment.
