Green Way Farms, operating under the brand of “GreenPath Food,” is Ethiopia’s first & only EU Organic Certified fruit, vegetable and herb business. Green Way’s staff of 25 works with a network of smallholder Partner Farmers to grow avocados and a broad range of herbs (with a focus on perennial crops). The company currently supplies the high-end Addis Ababa market and organic retailers in U.A.E. and soon to the Netherlands. Notably, GreenPath manages the full supply chain including a seedling nursery, production with smallholders, cold storage facilities, a packhouse, and marketing and distribution.
As a socially-oriented yet commercially viable business, Green Way’s founding team designed it from the ground up to maximize social and environmental impact, while establishing a competitive edge in the fast growing organic and specialty produce markets.
