The principal duties and responsibilities of the Corporate Lawyer (Group Legal Advisor) are:
- Consult and handle all corporate legal processes in regards to, including but not limited to: mergers & acquisitions and other corporate transactions, intellectual property, compliance issues, commercial transactions, contracts and agreements, lawsuits and litigations, other legal matters, etc.;
- Develop and continuously improve the Group policy and position on legal issues (Legal Manual);
- Research, anticipate and protect the Group Companies against legal risks;
- Advise and guide the Group Executive Team, managers and employees to ensure compliance awareness and practical compliance with rules and regulations;
- Structure, draft and review reports, legal documents, legal letters, etc.;
- Represent the Group Companies interests in legal proceedings (administrative boards, court hearings and litigations, arbitration, etc.);
- Draft, review and administer all contracts and agreements;
- Consult and assist stakeholders in negotiating the deals;
- Liaise with government offices and agencies

- Excellent knowledge of the Substantive and Procedural laws and legal frameworks of Ethiopia and practical knowledge of international laws.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- LLB Degree, LLM Degree in Law strongly preferable.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a similar multinational corporate organization or Top private practice law office in Ethiopia, ideally experience in FMCG and foreign investments.
- International experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Language skills: Proficient Spoken/Written knowledge of English and Amharic, preferably also Oromifa.
