About the Job
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Carries out a standard accounting tasks and procedure and prepares monthly financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and bank reconciliation statements.
- Coordinate and facilitate year-end closing activities and assist internal and external Audit.
- Able to manage financial transactions by using Peachtree
- Communicate smoothly with government and nongovernment organizations financial regulations.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Review and analyze financial data and generate necessary reports on financial status based on the analysis results.
- Ensure that all financial document and any other relevant related documents are completely signed and authorized.
- Monitors monthly income and expenditures based on actual receipt and spending.
- Provide necessary advice and guidance for decision making.
- Responsible for all bank account operations including preparation and review of fund transfers and/or other bank documents and monitoring bank accounts.
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Monitors account payables/receivables and gives monthly status report to the responsible person.
- Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts on monthly bases.
- Maintains office fixed asset and inventory records for purchased and handed over materials.
- Monitor and follow up of audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance. Issues and take appropriate actions based on the recommendation.
- Maintains professional filing and retrieval system for the Financial Section and keeps information confidential.
- Assists in other organizational activities and tasks, as assigned.
Term of employment: contract / renewable based on performance every three month
Salary: Negotiable
About You
Academic qualification
- BA degree in accounting or finance
Additional skills required
- Able to communicate effectively.
- Ability to prioritize, organize tasks and perform accordingly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and accounting software (Peachtree).
- Efficient in English, both writing and speaking.
- Ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills.
- Self-motivated, result-oriented attitude and well-organized work ethic
- Previous exposure to auditing preparation is an asset
- Female applicants encouraged
Years of experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in related area
