Main purpose of the job
As a Radiologist, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients by using medical imaging techniques such as X-rays, ultrasounds, interpreting MRIs, CT scans, and other imaging modalities. Your expertise and interpretation of these images will contribute to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Responsibilities and tasks
| Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, mammograms, and other radiographic examinations. |
| Analyze patient medical histories and symptoms to determine the appropriate imaging techniques to use. |
| Review and interpret imaging results, providing accurate and timely diagnoses to referring physicians. |
| Consult with other medical professionals to discuss patient cases and provide expertise in imaging-related matters. |
| Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during radiographic procedures, following established protocols and guidelines. |
| Stay up to date with advancements in radiology technology, techniques, and protocols, and incorporate them into clinical practice. |
| Participate in quality assurance activities, including monitoring and maintaining radiology equipment and ensuring compliance with safety standards. |
| Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans based on imaging results. |
| Provide guidance and supervision to radiology technologists and other staff members involved in imaging procedures. |
| Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including imaging findings, reports, and other relevant information. |

About You
Education, knowledge and skills
- Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of a residency program in radiology.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
- Strong knowledge and expertise in various imaging modalities, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and mammography.
- Proficient in interpreting and analysing medical images to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with other healthcare professionals and explain imaging results to patients.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient care and safety, adhering to ethical and professional standards.
