Introduction:
Kelem International School (KIS), located in Addis Ababa, is seeking proposals from qualified consultancy firms or individuals to develop and execute a comprehensive School Expansion Plan. The expansion plan aims to accommodate the growing student population, enhance educational facilities, and improve the overall learning environment.
Background:
- KIS is committed to providing quality education to its students. With a rising demand for enrollment and the aspiration to offer modern facilities, the school board has decided to embark on an expansion project. This project requires meticulous planning and execution to ensure the seamless integration of new infrastructure while maintaining the school’s high standards.
Scope of Work:
- The selected consultant will be responsible for:
- Conducting a thorough assessment of the current infrastructure and facilities.
- Analyzing projected student enrollment figures and growth trends.
- Developing a comprehensive School Expansion Plan including architectural designs, construction timelines, and cost estimates.
- Business plan that could be submitted to the banks for loan approval.
- Advising on optimal utilization of space and resources to maximize educational outcomes.
- Identifying sustainable and innovative solutions for energy efficiency and environmental considerations.
- Liaising with relevant authorities to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Overseeing the implementation phase to ensure adherence to quality standards and timelines.
- Providing periodic progress reports and addressing any challenges that may arise during the project.
Proposal Submission:
- Interested consultants are invited to submit their proposals by November 21, 2024 Proposals should include:
- Company profile or CV (for individuals), highlighting relevant experience.
- Renewed trade license, VAT registration, and TIN certificate
- Methodology for conducting the assessment and developing the expansion plan.
- Proposed timeline for completion of the project.
- Detailed budget breakdown including consultancy fees and any additional expenses.
- References or examples of similar projects successfully completed.
About You
Evaluation Criteria:
- Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Experience and expertise in educational infrastructure development.
- Quality and feasibility of the proposed methodology.
- Cost-effectiveness and value for money.
- Track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Ability to innovate and provide sustainable solutions.
Selection Process:
- A selection committee appointed by Kelem International School will review all proposals and shortlist candidates for interviews/presentations if necessary. The committee reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and may negotiate terms with the selected consultant.
Confidentiality: All information provided in the proposals will be treated as confidential and used solely for the purpose of evaluating the consultancy services. Consultants are required to adhere to strict confidentiality agreements to protect sensitive information.
