Job Summary

The Senior HR Officer will join our growing team at Angla Burger and oversee all human resources functions for the company. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to manage recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance. The Senior HR Officer will ensure the development of a strong organizational culture, optimize HR processes, and support the overall success of the business by aligning human resources strategies with company goals in the dynamic Ethiopian market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Strategy & Policy Development: Develop and implement HR strategies and policies that promote the company’s culture and support organizational growth.
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Lead the recruitment process, ensuring the attraction, selection, and retention of high-quality talent to meet business needs.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries, resolving conflicts, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Training & Development: Oversee employee training and development programs to enhance skills and promote career growth.
  • Performance Management: Manage performance appraisal systems and provide guidance on employee performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitive and fair packages for all employees.
  • Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with Ethiopian labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Prepare regular HR reports and analyze employee data to drive improvements in HR operations and workforce satisfaction.

About You

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR management role, preferably in the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office.
