About the Job

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational goals
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the procurement division.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers and vendors
  • Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential opportunities and risks
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals
  • Coordinate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements
  • Advises Operations Department (through proper channels) on the resource utilization optimality of transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency.
  • Resolves problems concerning transportation, supply systems, imports, or supplier issues.
  • Monitors spare parts & other materials import processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
  • Negotiates transportation rates or services regarding supply.
  • Negotiates with suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
  • Ensures that full compliance of warehousing and property administration activities with organizational rules, regulations, policies and strategies of the company.
  • Plans & implements improvements to internal or external supply systems/processes.
  • Collaborates with other departments to integrate supply with business systems or processes, such as customer services, order management, or accounting.
  • Directs supply operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or stock/inventory quality management.
  • Develops the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory and maximizing available working capital.
  • Provides on the job training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Generates periodic reports regarding the division’s performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the deputy manager.
About You
  • BA Degree in logistics management or management or other related fields
  • 8 years relevant experience
