About the Job

An exciting vacant position has arisen at East Africa Bottling Share Company – Ethiopia for a Maintenance Planner – Fleet and Cold Drink Equipments. East Africa Bottling Share Company ( EABSC) works with the world’s most cherished trademark; invests in the most sophisticated production system in the world and employs people who are prepared to work with passion and focus. The position is structured to report to the respective National Fleet Manager and will be responsible for achieving Fleet reliability and availability through the proper planning, scheduling, and real-time alignment of PFM implementation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Fleet Maintenance
• Manage Maintenance
o All aspects of Maintenance execution are met as per MSD365 PM Requirements.
o 100% compliance with the Maintenance plan.
o All deviations from the plan are reported and acted upon
o Break-downs have to be less than 5% per month on average (hours of break-down as a percentage of available hours).
o Fleet maintained as per schedule
o All vehicles made available for scheduled services
o Regular fleet maintenance is planned and high reliability is ensured.
• Evaluate maintenance plan effectiveness
o Planning time set and maintenance cost less than 1 $ per case.
o Maintenance plan evaluated according to time, cost, and quality standards.
o All processes are evaluated and reviewed on an ongoing basis and changes are proposed.
o Quarterly Internal audits conducted
2. Administration
• Ensure good housekeeping
o All workshop tools and hand tools are kept in 100% safe and usable condition.
o Tools and workshop inventory are checked at least every 3 months.
o 5S principles applied in all work areas.
o Applicable PPE worn by all staff all the time as per GMP requirements
• Assist Mechanics with breakdown repairs and troubleshooting of faults
• Ensure all equipment is operated at its optimum.
• Ensure effective administration
of necessary legal requirements Adhered
o Truck roadworthiness
o Liaised with the insurance company regarding all traffic accidents
o All paperwork duly completed and submitted to affect all claims.
o No fines for the expiry of any permits
3. Managed budget
o Prepare budget and Monitor expenses
o Control COE’s
o Report on deviations
4. Performance Management
5. Staff Development

About You

First Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field of studies with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
