25 years ago, Mr. Degefa Sime has engaged in a coffee growing business at Sidama Regional State. And after he has worked in the coffee farming sector for five years, he started coffee processing in the major coffee growing areas around the country and supplying green coffee beans to the local market, also to the Exporters. In all his processing sites the coffee red cherries collected from his own farm and from small coffee growers. He has a good network with those small growers because of he made a win-win supply chain approach. Then his proven experience in the coffee farming and processing makes him recognized as number one supplier in the local market. His Journey was not ended only in the local market, he has a Desire to use his potential and Proven experience to engage in the world coffee market.

In January 2005 he formed a company “Arfasa General Trading Plc” which is a family business with shareholder members of (Mr. Degefa Sime Bushe, Mr. Nebeyiu Degefa Sime, Mr. Israel Degefa Sime, Mr. Ephrem Degefa Sime, Ms. Bezawit Degefa Sime Ms. Helina Degefa Sime and Mrs. Werkinesh Bekele Debela) the Company has started exporting green coffee beans (Commercial & Specialty coffee) and Livestock to different countries around the world. Currently, the new established company has its own 300Hectars coffee farm at Bonga/kafa region, more than Seven coffee processing sites, and more than three enormous Feedlots.

The company coffee processing sites have a capacity of producing more than 8,000 Metric tons annually.

   Our company is a private limited company, was established with a capital outlay of $21.2 Million and has been established at Meki Town, in East Shoa Zone of Oromia regional state. The company has a farm area of 200 hectares at Bonga, in the western part of Ethiopia, and processing areas at the major coffee growing areas of the country. And all our processing Sites are equipped with coffee processing and washing machineries, necessary facilities including standard Stores, residential and office buildings. In addition to this the company has a seat at ECX (Ethiopian commodity Exchange) to secure its customers need. Since, all coffee exchanges are practical at Ethiopian commodity Exchange, therefore, our Seats at ECX helps us to collect top grade quality and traceable coffee and improve our sustainable exporting capacity in terms of Quality and Quantity.
