Bees for Development Ethiopia (BfDE), an Ethiopian resident charity, established in 2012, supports sustainable livelihoods through integrated apiculture development and natural resources management. We strive to make beekeeping accessible for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged Ethiopians. With offices in Bahir Dar, our projects are located in the Amhara region. Bees for Development Ethiopia’s emergence has been much supported by its partner organisation Bees for Development UK, with whom it shares the same aims and values.At present BfDE is implementing projects funded by UK Aid Direct, Bees for Development Trust and Rowse Honey. After eight years, BfDE is moving from its establishment phase to its sustainable growth phase. To foster this transition we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Programme Manager, with the strategic vision to strengthen all strands of the organisation’s work.
