GOAL works in more than 40 locations across Ethiopia providing emergency nutrition, water and livelihood following devastation caused by years of drought.
Primarily we deliver large-scale emergency refugee response programmes, due to large and regular influxes of refugees from neighbouring countries. GOAL is currently providing nutrition services to almost 50,000 people across the four refugee camps where we operate in Gambella and Afar.
Our staff work with thousands of women and children in camps which are home South Sudanese refugees at Gambella in western Ethiopia.
An additional 5,000 Eritrean refugees are directly benefiting from GOAL’s nutrition and water programming in the Afar region in the north of Ethiopia.
Our ChildSPACE programme in Addis Ababa works with street-dwelling children and youths. In 2018, GOAL supported more than 4,000 children though services which aim to improve their wellbeing and assist reintegration into the community.
