We are recruiting environment and workers occupational safety officer
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or update health, safety, and environmental management risk assessment and plan, review them on a regular basis, and keep them up to date at all times together with the safety committee.
- Design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect employee safety
- Ensure that all health and safety policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and best practices are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated
- Ensure that sub-contractors and employees are aware of their responsibility about environment, health, and safety
- Lead the environmental units
- Ensure that employees are provided with proper PPE and instruct them on their use
- Take appropriate precautions to ensure that all the processes of work in the undertakings shall not be a source or cause of physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic, or psychological hazards to the health and safety of the workers.
- Inspect work sites and the work of personnel regularly to identify issues or non-conformity
- Ensure warning signs and instructions are properly placed.
- Stay up-to-date with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental, health, and safety and ensure implementation.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address potential EHS risks and non-compliance issues.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to implement effective controls and preventive measures.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
- Maintain incident reporting systems and documentation.
- Track and analyze incident data to identify trends and implement preventive
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor EHS performance.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate EHS performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously assess and improve EHS management systems and processes.
- Implement best practices and industry standards to enhance EHS performance.
- Conduct inspections and risk assessments for environmental, health, and safety hazards.
- Implement safety protocols and environmental management plans.
- Provide training on EHS best practices, policies, and procedures to employees, sub-contractors, and agency workers.
- Monitor compliance with EHS regulations and standards, and report issues to the Compliance Manager.
- Regularly prepare and submit reports to the compliance manager.
- Perform any other related tasks assigned by the Compliance manager
Qualification:
- BSC in natural resource management, environment science, or other environment study-related fields
Experience:
- In the horticulture/floriculture sector is an advance
- Career level: Minimum 2 years’ experience horticulture sector
- Sex: Female
